My bridal boutique experience

Today is my first appointment to the bridal boutique since 2008. Yes, i purchased my package a really long time ago.

Months of research and elimations and i finally came out with my selection. I realise that my taste does change over a the year. I uploaded my desired gowns to picasa and ripped hard copies from magazines.

The process of make to measure (MTM) wedding happened so fast and completed in 1.5 hours that it felt really surreal. Am i really making my wedding gown? I tried on 6 gowns in succession. Unable to take any pictures to show as it wasn't allowed.

I told my designer Casey that i wanted something that i can look back in 10 years and hey i still look good. Glamourous, elegant, timeless and classic is the wedding gown for me.

And of course i must capitalise on Digio's strengths. i.e embroidered gowns.

The gown is something like the above complete with a bow and embroidered minus the ruffles. I fully trust Casey to design my dream wedding gown. Hopefully, the final product exceeds all my expectations.

Looking forward to the next appointment in March 2010.

Banquet Sheraton

Themes

There is only one ballroom for wedding banquet.

Upon entrance, I'm greeted by a ornate gold frame showing the event of the day. There is a extensive carpeted staircase.

The menu is a design your own. i.e Select from the banquet selection for each category.

There is a variety of floral to choose from for the wedding decoration.

The ballroom

The reception area is quite big.

Love the red flowers against the black reception table. A sharp contrast.

The long reception table with a wooden finish.

The seating arrangement for the day.

The photos of the wedding couple on LCD screen.

Sheraton is one of the few hotels where the lighting is able to illuminate to every table. This couple choose a rainbow colour.

The VIP table.

The ballroom with another floral decoration

Another perspective

Table requirements: min 30 (weekday) min 36 (weekend) - max 54

Others

The restaurant and the mini waterfall.

The ROM arrangement

An actual ROM in process.

Wedding Favours

This exquisite jewellery box catch my eye. So pretty.

The wedding card is also very interesting and personalised.

My Review

Charges apply for solemnization on actual day banquet. A buffet dessert can be arranged.

In all, personal customisation is available for your wedding. Floral selections can be selected. Please note that the pricing for the table for a table of 12.

On wedding show, more perks are available for wedding couple. I understand usually a smaller scale wedding show is held on May and August. A more elaborate wedding show will be held in Oct.

Ring a ling ling

Rings to die for. And i found it!

The pretty crown design ring for her.

Fit for the king and the queen

Heart to heart
The rings sold in Singapore are mainly a half heart for the male and female. This is a heart shape but still very beautiful on its own.

My perfect engagement ring
A very vintage design. So pretty! Awwww.....

The top view.

And the shop selling the superb rings:

Banquet Marina Mandarin

I dropped by Marina Mandarin for a browse after i visited the Mandarin Oriental Wedding Show. Hence, the lack of information and pictures too. But this place is definitely one of the most popular venues choosen by wedding couples. Most times, the dates are taken up very early.

The menu is fixed at one except for weekdays where there is two options available. Miracle of Love and Glow of Love. Needless to say, different pricing applies.

Sweet Enchantment and Blushing bliss (Saturday only) is available for weekends.

There is a wedding on the day we visit. And so we went to take a look at the ballroom in the basement. There is another ballroom on the upper levels, Vanda Ballroom.

Table requirements:

Marina Mandarin Ballroom: min 35 (Mon-Thu) and max 60. min 40 tables (on Fri-Sun)
Vanda Ballroom: min 20 - max 30

Marina Mandarin Ballroom

The wedding couple for the night left their wedding album outside very very early. At least 4 hours before the dinner commence.

Alert to all brides, please don't do that.Strangers will flipped through them and make nasty comments unwarranted (i was there and heard this couple making snide remarks). That is not the worse. What if your wedding album got misplaced or stolen. That will definitely be a blooper to your wedding fanfare.

The reception table.

The ballroom. Woah...looks pretty grand isn't it?

A close up of the decor.

The guest table

The wedding favour, bear groom.

The wedding favour, bear bride

The stage is set up with rose petals arranged in a heart shaped surrounded by candles. Not too sure if this is the typical decoration or specific request from the wedding couple.

This is what you see from the stage.

The stage. There is definitely enough leg room.

The bridal suite

I guess the pictures does speak a thousand words. So i shall just end here. Enjoy.
