Overview This is actually a documentary of how i felt during the MTM session. As this reflects the chronology of the bridal process from the very beginning of trying on the perfect gown to the actual. Thus, this is an extremely long post. Everything documented here is what truly transpired between me and the bridal shop. 25th January 2010 - Design wedding gown Wedding Gown making and measurement: Tried on a couple of gowns. Selected the one that suits me most. The designer casey say he will design something along that line and embroidered. But i'm pretty unhappy as he told me he require me to top up if its an embroidered gown ~ price range he quoted was S$1,800 - S$ 2,000. Obviously, i'm not going to top up especially when i specifically pointed out an dress before i sign up and say i wanted something similar and was told "No problem". So eventually, he relented and say he will design one "especially for me" So walk off happy and dreamy about...

[The chronology of events is simply acts as a reference to give brides a rough idea of the flow of events. Remember to always communicate with your bridal coordinator. No one will know what you desire until you voice them out.] For me, i always like to sit on matters until i'm certain that this is what i really want prior to liase with my coordinator. Apparently i didn't give him any heart attacks with my change of mind (i did not do it very frequently though). The entire process from the gowns making to actual day is almost a year long so its important to work with someone you think you can communicate with. Else it is more a dread than joy for the photoshoot and actual day. 11 Nov 2008 - Recce bridal boutiques and sign on the spot with Digio 25 January 2010 - Design wedding gown 29 March 2010 - First fitting of wedding gown 02 April 2010 - Suppose to make evening gown but end up trying evenings gowns 24 April 2010 - Meet up with designer to design evening ...

Time really flies for 2 weeks. Before i know it. I'm due to fly off for Honeymoon. Here's a teaser to our wonderful wedding album. Till i return then.

Its been 8 days after my wedding. Everything still seemed so surreal. The wedding ran smoothly and perfectly. And i felt like a superstar with at least 5 cameras shooting me at any one time excluding the videographer. :) Nearly had a heart attack when the make up artist was late. Agreed time was 6.50 am and earlier. As my mum insisted that i must be out of the house before 9 am. The PGs and VG had all arrived and still no sight of the MUA. *Hopping mad*. Fortunately, the gate crashing is short and sweet. (Send my love to my dear bridemaids) The bestmen never knew the doors ain't locked since the beginning. Funny how gentlemanly they all were. The other minor set backs on the actual day was the bride suffering from lack of sleep. So my efforts of sleeping early for the week went down the drain. And i still ended up with puffy eyes. This cannot be helped as i seriously couldn't sleep the night before the wedding. Sigh! And of course my clasp behind my gown had to give way...

Today is my first appointment to the bridal boutique since 2008. Yes, i purchased my package a really long time ago. Months of research and elimations and i finally came out with my selection. I realise that my taste does change over a the year. I uploaded my desired gowns to picasa and ripped hard copies from magazines. The process of make to measure (MTM) wedding happened so fast and completed in 1.5 hours that it felt really surreal. Am i really making my wedding gown? I tried on 6 gowns in succession. Unable to take any pictures to show as it wasn't allowed. I told my designer Casey that i wanted something that i can look back in 10 years and hey i still look good. Glamourous, elegant, timeless and classic is the wedding gown for me. And of course i must capitalise on Digio's strengths. i.e embroidered gowns. The gown is something like the above complete with a bow and embroidered minus the ruffles. I fully trust Casey to design my dream wedding gown. Hopefully,...
