The perfect wedding and more than what a bride can wish for (REALLY!)

Its been 8 days after my wedding. Everything still seemed so surreal. The wedding ran smoothly and perfectly. And i felt like a superstar with at least 5 cameras shooting me at any one time excluding the videographer. :) Nearly had a heart attack when the make up artist was late. Agreed time was 6.50 am and earlier. As my mum insisted that i must be out of the house before 9 am. The PGs and VG had all arrived and still no sight of the MUA. *Hopping mad*. Fortunately, the gate crashing is short and sweet. (Send my love to my dear bridemaids) The bestmen never knew the doors ain't locked since the beginning. Funny how gentlemanly they all were. The other minor set backs on the actual day was the bride suffering from lack of sleep. So my efforts of sleeping early for the week went down the drain. And i still ended up with puffy eyes. This cannot be helped as i seriously couldn't sleep the night before the wedding. Sigh! And of course my clasp behind my gown had to give way...

Home decor - Part 2

This is the refurbishing. All you need is love and creativity. I'm loving it. The living room is totally IKEA. My SO wants fresh flowers. I hope it will not be there till its dried and sad

My vintage frames

I've been waiting forever for these frames. I chanced upon this as i was surfing etsy. And i finally got my ornate frames. You seldom get to see them in Singapore. Even if they're here, they certainly will cost an arm and leg. These are kinda of expensive too if you consider the freight and exchange. But well, what the heck. I WANT them. It took a really long time to get here. Like 3 weeks after my purchase. Morale of the story don't make urgent purchases. What's in the box? Bubble foam. Tata! the entire family. I got 2 frames at discount. The pink and bubble gum pink. The red one at full cost. Else the frames will cost much much more. But its the cheapest and nicest ones on etsy already. This is my favourite of them all. Soft pink. Very romantic. So many things i can use for them. Terrific!

More crocheted wedding dolls

I finally saw my pre-ordered wedding dolls on the day of my wedding shoot. At the beginning, there was a little unhappiness when i ordered the dolls as the seller increased the price by 2 times the original quote. I felt extremely indignant then. Although, it is the seller's right to increase price in accordance to market conditions but the fact is i wanted to make the dolls much earlier (and at the cheaper price) but was asked to delay since my wedding is in 2010. Fortunately, in the end, she reduced the price for me out of goodwill. So happy when i finally thought i got the entire order settled. Thinking that all that i need to do is to wait patiently and collect them on 4 June. Few days before 4 June, i dropped the seller a message. I got another bomb shell. She asked for an extension till the following Thursday which i obliged. Come wednesday, she informed me that she fell sick and can only passed the dolls to me during the weekend. And my photoshoot is on Monday. I s...

The clapboard

Oh yes i did promise to write about my clapboard. It took this long because the clapboard came from china chipped. I hope when the thing was delivered by the vendor it was in perfect shape and its only broke when they try to ship out to Singapore. Whatever it is. It still broke. It took a while for me to think how to fix it to look as good as new. This is the already mended clapboard. A closer scrutiny. The back of the clapboard. Its pretty obvious even after mending. To rectify it, i need to cut a part of some acrylic cover i used to use for my project. The same for the back part. So to beautify it further i got some scrapbooking ribbon (a birthday gift from friends) and am deciding between just adorning the bottom or all around. Being lousy with visualisation, i got to see it to know it. I decided to line only the bottom of the clapboard. Doing it all over seem to spoil the entire clapboard feel. The finished product. You almost cannot see that broken p...

Hollywood Memorabilia

I finally found this locally. I've been surfing for quite some time and most places that sells them only deliver to Canada or USA itself. I especially love the Hollywood Memorabilia from www.hollywoodmegastore.com There is always VPOST, but the freight charges are pretty exorbitant. And then i remembered, Universal Studios, and there seem to be a pretty good chance to get it there. I tried to look for it at the gift store outside of Universal Studios. But there isn't any film reel or canister and the gift store personnel refuse to transfer some of the stuff from inside the Theme park for me. Fortunately, they have this S$2 entry after 7 pm on Fridays and Saturdays in the Hollywood arena (essentially the Universal shopping area). So i should still consider myself lucky, perhaps? Total damage for this is S$33.80 (S$16.90 each). I also bought a clapboard from China and hope that it will arrive soon to Singapore. Will take pictures of it when i got it. This completes my...
