Life between trips

I attended a wedding in October 2013 at the Parkroyal beach road. Boy! I was in for a surprise. The hotel is newly renovated and refurbished to a very corporate and clean polished look. There is a huge area for reception. Even the exterior area is also revamped (i didn't manage to get pictures for outdoors). You can hold your ROM outdoors and have decorated to an outdoor garden setting. Yes the outdoor area is that huge! This place has changed so dramatically.  By comparison, a banquet held at the same location in 2010, see review here . There is alot more room since the wedding i attended is no longer at the other ballroom. The ceilings of the ballroom are tall, creating an illusion of space and comfort.See the ballroom with the backdrop. This is the first time I attended a wedding at Pan Pacific, so the interior of the lobby and lounge area took me by surprise. Modern and the lifts at lobby are not unlike Holiday Inn Atrium. Heading to the reception area and the ball room Pacific 1,the area was huge and fully segregated from other ballrooms. Probably the wedding is prepared for tables of 60. What i don't like are the grille doors near the reception which is a little out of place in the setting. The ballroom highlight will be the lighting that changes colour in every few minutes. This will probably post certain challenges to photographers as its definitely difficult to capture the right moment with dim or odd colour lighting. For my actual day photography, I chose Hwee Studios , which was also the same company that Solitaire Bride chose to work with for her actual day. The difference was that I booked a full day actual day session for photography and a half day session for videography with them. They also threw in the videography for our ROM session in the evening as part of the package. I would highly recommend fresh flower over fake flowers if possible as the fresh flower looks much much better :)

I recently attended the wedding of my sister in Japan. The wedding was held both in Singapore and Japan a week apart. A japanese wedding food is simply divine and delicious. One of the most important roles of your bridesmaids is to make sure that you are looking perfect and stress free on your wedding day.  There are so many things that can go wrong on your big day, so it’s best to be prepared for anything.   Most importantly, let your bridemaids handle all matters, however big or small. Its your big day and you should be pampered like a princess.  Eat whenever you have the chance because its going to be a long day and you're less likely to eat during the wedding banquet itself. Its been months after the wedding and i've completed most of what i wanted to write and share. One of the last few things i love to share is my wedding photographer and also special highlights on the various things prepared for the wedding. The special highlights are important so that every little effort was remembered. Its a must because i've put my heart and soul to it. The photos from Hwee Studios are so pretty that i printed a mind boggling number of 500 pictures. Anyway i've already excercised restraint during my selection. I think i've never looked so pretty in my life. Makes me want to take MORE pictures. Ewwwww.... a wedding photographer is a definite must for a wedding and make sure he/she is GOOD. The pictures are going to last forever. I'm very pleased with my photos. Mucks to apple for making me so beautiful. Super Thumbs Up!
