TRIP DATE: 20 APRIL 2017 Day 9: Shopping and  head to Juno hair salon at Ewha Womans University Station Breakfast/lunch/dinner at Lotte shopping supermarket To Do: Juno Hair Salon Ewha Womans Univ. 7 Road 30, 3rd Floor, Junho-hae-dong Univ. 2, Daehyun-dong, Seodaemun-gu Seoul Always wanted to try doing my hair overseas and with korean salons locally charging a premium i thought it would be better for me to try out a authentic korean salon instead.  Service is great with lots of attention from the main hair styllst. The hair stylist will have a specific work station to work on and for general things like hair steaming or perming you will be brought to a designated area to do it. I like that they have a central area where friends can enjoy tit bits and talk to each other while the hair stylist tends to you. Prices menu is also very clear and standard.  The hair stylist also did not push for sales and at the end of the session i was given a discount car...

Finally got something related to wedding to share on the blog. The first time i heard about korean photoshoot is probably a year after my wedding and i remember that i was pretty surprised that they only do indoor photography. But the photos are really romantic and have very elaborate sets.  In korea, they don't call it prewedding. In their own local terms, they call it a wedding rehearsal. I am not sure if it is to cater for foreigners visiting on short term, but a full photography session can be either completed in one day or two days. For a 2 days photography, the first day is usually a 1.5 hours gown choosing session. The time is possible as brides can only choose to try 5 gowns within the allocated time frame. The second day is purely a  make up session followed by a 4 hours photography session. Albums will only be ready 2 - 4 months from the time of photography. Its been a while since i blogged about something related to beauty. I've been rather constant with my hair stylist as i've become less adventurous with age. I did switch hair salons to seek a change in my looks but have failed miserably to look super stylo. Moroever, in so far no one has beaten the power hair massage of my current hair stylist.  I am getting quite bored with my constant similar look and i've been googling on korean hair salons for a while. One salon caught my eye in terms of their pricing and reviews (not much to begin with). This suits me as bloggers may skewed their reviews and other popular korean hair salons charge exorbitant rates. I made a last minute appointment on a weekday and was on my way to a new hair change.
