Shocked! I wasn't expecting this piece of news and i was about to try to buy another facial package at the coming 12% rebate. So upset i was that i cancelled all my other activities for the day. I've been coming to this facial since 2014 and i always enjoyed my session with my therapist Cammie who always make me feel at ease. I am also comforted by the fact that this is a big name brand not those facial salons that could shutter up anytime with no compensation. So its kind of sad to find out during my facial that it might be my last. SKII is closing by Jun 15, 2017 and they won't be continuing when Tangs reopen their facial counters at level 4. I am unsure if i will look for another facial place as alot of places don't perform extraction now. Extraction is good to clear the pores and allow skin to absorb the nutrients better. Its been a while since i blogged about something related to beauty. I've been rather constant with my hair stylist as i've become less adventurous with age. I did switch hair salons to seek a change in my looks but have failed miserably to look super stylo. Moroever, in so far no one has beaten the power hair massage of my current hair stylist.  I am getting quite bored with my constant similar look and i've been googling on korean hair salons for a while. One salon caught my eye in terms of their pricing and reviews (not much to begin with). I was out hunting again for a facial place after Yamano and Kose Beauty Studio turned out to be less then desirable. As the beauty cabine is fully renovated at Tangs and moved to level 7 and i heard so many hooha reviews on Sulwahsoo products, i decided to find out for myself. I booked a facial at the weekday to try out the SnowiseEx illuminating facial since its the cheapest on the list.  Level 7 cabine is very luxurious. Decor is oriental modern design. I was quickly ushered to the waiting room upon arrival. The therapist started out by requesting me to choose my favourite scent for facial. I only remember 2 of the scent being pine wood and apricot. But 3 out of the 4 scents are woody. Everything about the facial are quite the norm with no surprises. Cleansing, scrubbing and massage with the cream. The massage is very moisturising for the skin. I was very very taken aback when i entered the unassuming beauty salon right in the heart of orchard. While the place is clean and design is simple, it was very sparsely furnished considering its brand name and in comparision with Yamano (the other japanese salon i went).  I entered the facial premises after i passed through the hair salon. What greeted me makes my jaw dropped even more, the room is bare. There is no wall partitions for privacy, in its place are curtains hung to separate the different beds. And i am able to see all the facial therapist and guests. Each therapist handles 2 guests both at the same time!!! From My session suppose to start at 3 pm since my therapist is also handling another customer, i whipped out my phone and start playing candy crush till my therapist is available at 3.30pm. So far this is one of the better spas in terms of skill. I went on a weekday so the place is pretty quiet and i had their full attention. The spa place was huge! I walked past the long hallways, there is so many rooms that i lost count. I could just imagine it being packed on a weekend.  The room that i was ushered to had a window and it was pretty warm and the light is pretty glaring on the eyes. After it was drawn, it also did not manage to stay in place. The place was decent though it differs from what i was expect from the pictures. The decor of the place is basic and furnished with the basic essentials for a facial and nothing luxurious.  There are 3 types of facial and i decided to try the hydrating facial to brighten up  my face.  The lady who attended to me is skilful. This facial after 2 months still give me the horrors. Its a most painful session of facial i had to endure. First of all, the extraction is really squeezing every other bit of my skin. It felt like i had a thousand needles and its all hot and prickly where the therapist hand landed. I came out looking like a bubble bee. Secondly, I was late and i was penalised very badly. Its my fault for being late but the facial therapist really go by the books and though her next facial is 30 mins away, she did not extend my facial even for 1 minute!!! And the music in the cabine and outside isetan is very conflicting and jarring. Imagine you have soft music of sea and waves and outside they are playing pop songs of lady gaga. This is definitely the last time i am ever going for a facial at the temporary cabine in a shopping mall. All these adds up to my very unpleasant experience and by far the worse. Poor service, lousy environment and bad value for money.

There is a Groupon offer on Aster Spring which i decided to try. The offer is for 100 min Skin Radiance Facial. The consultant started by requesting me to fill up the form and to state the concerns of my skin condition. After which she began by analyzing my skin with a machine which will show the different colours on the skin tone. Each colour represents pigmentation, dry skin etc etc. After changing to the bath robe. the consultant started by cleaning then followed by purifying. There is a pricking sensation when an enzyme is putted in my face. What i love most is the mask she applied on my face. It is the traditional type where there is a netting was  placed and subsequently a clay mask is applied. My face feels so pampered and luxurious after the facial. This has to be the facial was one of the longest i've ever done. I started at 3 pm and ended at 5 pm. Facial using SOTHY's products is also on my list of to trial facials. I did the skin renewal facial ( promotion item) at the Nail Spa and Wellness. There is no skin analysis and i proceed with facial almost immediately after arrival. The ambience and surroundings is nice and simple. The facial room is lined with a myriad of Sothy's products. Though there are individual rooms, each room is not sound proof. i.e. you can still hear your next door neighbour's conversation. Review: I felt that the products used is really great. Almost immediate perk up similar to La Mer facial. There is no machine involved which is my preferred method of facial, traditional and relys heavily the mastery of facial therapist and the facial products. I recently did my nails for my photo shoot and this also as a pre-trial for my actual day. I always thought that acrylic nails means taking those off the rack nails and then cut to fit. How wrong i was. I never never expect acrylic nails to be something like that. It is build from scratch and molded to fit. My nails took about 3.5 hours. A super long grooming session. There are alot of nu-bra in the market. I tried and purchase one some years ago from Metro. It was so long ago and rarely used that i nearly forgotten its existence till i was doing a checklist of things to bring for my photoshoot. Somehow or rather this is one of the must bring items on a taiwan photoshoot. (according to their websites.) Local bridal shops make no mention of it. I wonder why? And so i tried on my old nu-bra (and apparently the front clasp fell apart! Gasped!). So i have no choice but to seek a new one. Next question is where to get one? The one that i purchase actually doesn't work very well. Somehow the bra keep peeling off when the weather is damn hot and of course i sweat. As a girl its feels pretty insecure if your bra keep slipping off right? To play it safe i finally decide to get the authentic one. At least currently they have a 10% discount. Now i really think i'm bonkers. Seriously, who will ever thought i will go for a slimming programme. To date, i've done 2 sessions of a slimming treatment call - G5 and body hot wrap. G5 applies a G5 cream and then uses a machine to massage it into the body. Hoping to reduce body fat on problem areas like tummy and back thigh. (even if these body parts are obvious under the enormous gown.) But i still like to look my best on my wedding day. After 30mins of the G5 treatment, it will be another 40 mins of hot wrap. The therapist will apply some cream (which probably has methnol). It damn cold to touch. I will shiver after she finish application. Luckily, she wrapped me up in xellophane soon after. After wrapping, i really feel like a mummy. The rest of the time, i'll be wrapped in a hot blanket till the end of 40 mins. There seem to be no evident improvement in body except the body is more toned and less cellulite. Don't think there is anything else has improved sign...

The solitaire groom upon seeing solitaire bride's pretty bling bling fitflop (see here ) also went to make his own purchase in his bid to slim down. Here's the male version of the shoe. I always like to look fair but i normally don't take extreme measures. I still walk in the sun as usual and what i used to cover up the face is my rountine moisturiser with the minimal spf 20s. In my attempt to make more effort to look fair and pretty (for the wedding only), i start to source for an appropriate sunblock to apply on my face. Here comes IPSA super sunblock to the rescue. I love its texture which is not greasy at all and ease of application. So far, it seems to work well with my current moisturiser. I hope that i can transform into a Fair Lady on my photoshoot in June till October. Most importantly, its easy on the pocket. So there what are you waiting for? Anyway, i think recommendations for normal skincare. Sheseido - The skincare series doesn't seem to improve my complexion much. Appreciate any kind recommendations. Thanks in advance.

I got this fabulous deal for 8 x facial at S$950 during the Christmas season in 2009. On top of that, i got a free photo printer from Tangs Shop which i subsequently sold. Effectively, my la mer package cost me S$80 per session. Whoopee! The entire La Mer affair includes facial and eye treatment. The treatment lasted about 1 hr 30 mins. It started with arms and calf massage with exfoliation. After which, the full attention will be given on the face. Exfoliating, massaging,extraction and mask. The entire regime uses only La Mer products. And you are sure to be pampered like a princess. I always feel that my skin feels more radiant after the facial. Though my nose always peeled. Think the therapist is not very good with extraction. So far, the service has been fairly good. Though I get pretty irritated at times due to difficulty in replacing a weekend booking. I usually have to do my facial one month later instead. That's because they only have one therapist at the Tangs counter ...

I bought Fancl Tense up Ex. Started drinking since Mid-April. Now halfway through the course. According to my advisor,drink it continuously for one month. Then drink it every two/three days for maintenance. Personally, after a few days of it,I feel more radiant. Not sure if its psychological. Actually, what started me off is my colleague. I recently share my blog with her. She's already married by the way. So in one of my conversations, she told me she drink this during her prep before the wedding and it works. ^_^ So encouraged by this and my sis friend who is drinking it. I decided to have a go. Tell ya when if anyone commented that i got prettier. woo hoo!

Ok i've been regularly working out (2 times a week for the past 2 months). What i hate most from my workout program is the crunches. I always marvel at the people beside me. Their strength and determination to do continuous set of crunches. That is like extremely painful. After 4 weeks of easy going attitude, the first time i started to make more effort is the time when i went for my first fitting. I need to lose alot of weight. So many of the gowns feel so tiny. OMG!
