Kranji countryside - Quan Fa Organic Farm and Bollywood veggies

Bollywood veggies 100 Neo Tiew Road Singapore 719026 Tel: 6898 5001 This place seems less of a functioning farm and more like an educational place for children and city people. You can get see different types of vegetables, fruit trees and herbs in a small area. There is suppose to be a free tour (but there are no signages) and i asked and was directed somewhere but no one was conducting a tour. I was fully geared with a cap and mosquito patch. I think the mosquito patch is a definite must!!! Actually, i was expecting sales of fresh vegetables here but sadly the stalls available today is selling mosquito patch, olive oil and honey. Entrance fee is stated to be $2 and on an honor basis.(i.e no one is there to man the tickets stall so you just put the money into the open box). Along the way here there are plenty of other farms to visit koi fish or goat farm. Quan Fa Organic Farm 35 Murai Farmway  Singapore 709145 Tel: 6793 7693 As my family is really keen t...

Alive Museum - Singapore

I decided to do something different on my birthday this year. Took time off work, had a relaxing free lunch and visited a place of interest. When we entered the museum and there are about 10 booths and a mirrored room. Though in the mirrored room there is a mirror door labelled "EXIT" sign. We thought that was the end of the entire museum and was horrified to have spent $25 per person but after passing through there are more sections to play out various scenes. Some of the booths are close for maintenance and so i missed out on quite a few paintings. I completed the pictures in 1 hour 15 mins including queue and wait time to take pictures. The Alive Museum is quite a fun place to go for an indoor activity on a lazy sunday afternoon. Particularly for those who like to take pictures and to enact different scenes. There are numerous examples at every booths that you can follow should you run out of ideas on how to play out ...

Sofitel So Singapore Staycation

This is a no surprise "surprise" by SO to celebrate our 5th wedding anniversary. I was actually informed weeks before the actual day (in anticipation of disruptions to our schedule due to other personal commitments,) Yes! We are boring this way. Sofitel is located in the heart of CBD and easy access to great food in the area. We decided on having dinner at OTTO restaurant. The restaurant is easily accessible by foot. Days before our due arrival, we receive an email asking us about our time of arrival. We replied that we are locals and will need parking space for the night. There is no free parking for provided for guests, but we are recommended a few cost efficient places to park for the night. Check in is a breeze and when we reach our room, there is already complimentary nonya desserts on the desk. The ondeh-ondeh is the best i ever tasted. The gula melaka burst in one pop and tasted heavenly. The room is well decorated but size is much smaller tha...

Ocean Suites - Resorts World Sentosa RWS

Ocean Suites 8 Sentosa Gateway, Sentosa Island, Singapore 098269 I am fortunate to be invited and manage to spend an afternoon there. Room service for the room from check in till i left that evening is impeccable. A manager is available to show us around the room upon check in and explain to us the room functionalities in detail.  The most impressive moment is when the manager unveil the sea aquarium and you catch your breath in awe. Bedroom on the first floor   Its a pretty spectacular moment. View to the Sea Aquarium Writing desk that gives you the perfect view Jacuzzi while fish watching The butler will come upon request to move away the wooden flooring (this is a little manual) to uncover the Jacuzzi. It will be better if this is made automated. This would have made the stay a little more seamless.  Though it may be nice to enjoy the Jacuzzi in your birthday suit thinking that you're alone in the room. It may not be wise during th...
