Shopping at Gloria Premium Shopping outlet at Taoyuan, Taiwan

I wanted to head to this place right upon landing since its 15 mins drive away from the airport. But was stopped by le hubs. I did managed to get to visit the Premium Shopping outlet for a day on a weekend.  It was quite crowded and i had to spend some time in the queue for certain shops but overall it was a pleasant shopping experience. The train there is quite tiring as we opted for the free seating cabin. End up the train is super packed and we had to stand both ways to/from. My shopping hauls are a Loewe anagram reversible belt (brillant green/black) at SGD 346. An Onitsuka tiger sport shoes (not worth to buy). Singapore outlets are similarly priced.  I wanted to get a bag from Celine or bottega venetta but nothing catches my eye. I think premium outlet shopping is all about luck and timing. But at the very least i got the anagram belt.

Travelling back in 1920s - Today Cheongsam Experience in Taipei 倩倩旗蒍體驗逨

I was pretty skeptical of doing this as i believed that you need to be very slender to wear Cheongsam.  So How did i ended up doing this? I happen to try to convince mister to try Han fu (aka the period drama costume that we see on chinese dramas). It was rejected by him immediately. Somehow, he saw a collaboration with the hotel, he immediately booked the hotel stay with the Cheongsam experience.  He was so pleased with himself until i told him "I don't want to wear cheongsam!".  However, this Cheongsam experience turned out better than expected. The location is quite a favourable too!  It is within the vicinity of a Bopiliao historical block,Taiwan country education centre and Lung shan temple. All these buildings provided the perfect backdrop to the clothes that we wore.  I am a usual size L (asian) and the clothes i tried are L and XL. Ladies get to choose their fit and design first before the male. The male chinese robe (male version, paofu) has to match to...

Taiwan, Yilan - Tai Ping Shan

Just a short 50 minutes drive from Taipei city. Its little wonder this is a highly popular hot spring place for local and tourists like.  Tai Ping Shan We encountered wet weather during our time at Tai Ping Shan. But i still considered ourselves quite fortunate as it began to snow a few days later. We had no experience driving in snowy conditions, it would have been quite a disaster if we were caught in the snow.  There are suitable activities for everyone. For those who wants to soak in the natural hot springs, and for the more adventurous, hiking.  Finding the attractions were easy as there is only one route. So if you are travelling from the foot of the mountain you will passed by the following attractions:  Jiuzhizhe Hot Spring -> Bai Ling Tree -> Jiancing old trail. After the Jian cing old trail, the road split into two. One will lead you to Cuifeng Lake and the other will lead you to the motel and also the Bong Bong train station.  For us, the first ...

Shanghai - Yang Cheng - Beijing 12 Days and 11 Nights (with hotel reviews)

Planned itinerary from Shanghai to Beijing in 2019.  Here's a day by day for reference. Click on link for more details on the place of interest or the food.  Day 1: 17 DO:  Flight from Singapore to Shanghai. Arrival at 6 pm EAT:   Dinner at θŸΉι»„ι±Όι’:  STAY:  Shanghai: Mercure Shanghai Yu Garden The rooms here are very modern rooms and new. Even the plugs come with usb ports for convenience. I love the mirror particularly as its a touch screen which you can turn on the light on the mirror and can set it to mist free.  But hard to get cabs to come here as the front of the hotel is actually a bicycle lane where no cars can come. Had a few instances where the cabs we ordered couldn't come in and they finally decide to cancel our car request.  Distance from mrt is also about 15 mins walk. Not ideal but will still come again as furnishing is very new and clean.  Day 2: 18 DO:  εŸŽιšεΊ™, Shanghai Bund Daytime EAT:   Breakfa...
